Acrylics & Polycarbonates

“What is the difference between acrylics & polycarbonates?”

       This is the question most people ask;

Sheet grade Polycarbonate (aka Lexan or Makrolon) and Acrylic sheet (aka Plexiglass or Lucite) are two of the most frequently used see-through plastics.

Here a few things to look at when considering which product to use:

Acrylic is shinier, Polycarb is stronger.

Acrylic is less expensive but easier to crack.

Polycarb is more impact resistant but easier to scratch.
